Welcome to our Parent and Carer Forum area.  We are currently working with Kent PACT, as part of the PINS (Partnership for inclusion of neurodiversity in schools) project to help create our first parent and carer forum.  The aim of the forum is  See below for details about the next meeting at Minterne, if you would like to be part of this group.

What is a Parent Carer Forum?

• Parent/Carer Forums (PCFs) are run by parents for parents
  
  
• The aim of PCFs is to ensure that the needs of the parents and carers of disabled children in the county are being met
  
  
• This is achieved by gathering the views of local families and then working in partnership with local authorities, education, health providers and other services to highlight where local services, processes and commissioners are working well, or challenge when changes or improvements need to be made
  
  
• PCFs cannot act as case workers or advocates, we are simply the link between parents and carers and the Local Authority. We need to work together to ensure that communication links remain open and transparent
  
  
• Every organisation is only as good as its people, so the more engagement and participation from our Parent/Carers the stronger we will be - Kent PACT website
