Intent
At Minterne Junior School, our aim is to create engaging and enjoyable science lessons that spark curiosity and inspire our children to ask questions. Rooted in the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and with support from White Rose Science, we believe that a balanced approach is essential, combining both knowledge and practical skills to develop a well-rounded understanding of scientific concepts.
By teaching an exciting range of topics and using varied teaching methods, we aspire to make science accessible and relevant to every child. A strong emphasis on the progression of key vocabulary ensures that our learners are equipped with the language needed to articulate their thoughts and discoveries.
